ashu’s spouted matcha bowl (katakuchi)
A hand-thrown spouted matcha bowl made for Ashu's Matcha in Los Angeles by Jin Ceramics. Each piece is individually shaped on the wheel and finished with a traditional Japanese crackle glaze, creating a fine network of lines that develop character over time.
Designed with a subtle pour spout for ease, the form allows for a smooth transfer from whisking to serving. The proportions feel balanced in hand, with a gentle weight that grounds the ritual without feeling heavy.
Each bowl measures approximately 3.5” in height and 4.5” in diameter, with slight variations that reflect its handmade nature. No two pieces are identical.
Produced in a limited run, each bowl is hand-numbered on the base.
